I was born in 1972 and grew up in Southern Pines.

Career:
My first job was as a mechanic at Rainbow Cycles. I was 14. Thanks for my first job Steve!
During college and for a little while afterwards, I stayed in the bike business in Chapel Hill.
I then went on to work for a couple of toy train companies. This took me to Maryland where we lived for about five years.
After the train business, I worked for an advertising agency at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore.
In 2002, we returned to North Carolina and I started working in the family business, Smithson, Inc. which my grandfather started in 1948 in Missouri and moved to Moore County in 1957.
